This is because they offer a<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/transformadoresuniao.com.br\/en\/dry-transformer-what-it-is-and-what-are-its-advantages\/\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">series of benefits<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, as greater security, reduced space, and low maintenance levels.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Brazilian standard (ABNT \u2013 NBR 5356) establishes that all transformers must undergo routine tests.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Routine testing<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Routine tests are tests performed to ensure the proper functioning of a transformer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Check below to see what these tests are:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Turns ratio test<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The purpose of this ratio is to ensure that the number of turns between windings conforms to the design, thereby ensuring that the input and output voltages remain within a range that does not deviate by more than +\/- 0.5% and that the actual values fall within the specified range.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Ohmic resistance test of windings<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The essay aims to compare calculated values with measured values and to check for loose connections and interruptions.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Insulation resistance test<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Verify solid insulation levels of transformers between windings and ground.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Applied Stress Test<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It consists of applying a specific voltage to the equipment within the range determined by the standard, and there must be no insulation breakdown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Induced Tension Test<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The test consists of applying double the nominal voltage, at a frequency of at least 120Hz for the standardized calculated time. No disruptive discharges are allowed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0<\/span><b>No-load test and excitation current<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Perform loss measurements through nominal voltage and frequency, and compare the obtained values with the design and standard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Short-circuit Losses and Impedance Test<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Measurements of losses are performed using nominal current and frequency, and the obtained values are compared with the design and the standard.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Partial discharge measurement<br \/><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fundamental test for verification of material and process variables during the manufacturing period.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The process requires strict control of productive activities and monitored follow-up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The equipment is subjected to standard values and times.
