What are three-phase transformers?

It is worth remembering that the three-phase transformer is divided into two groups: distribution transformer and power transformer.

The distribution transformer's function is to reduce the voltage that will be supplied to the final customers of electricity distribution companies. They are usually placed on poles and have power ratings up to 300 kVa.

The power transformer appears in dealerships and substations; they generate, transmit, and distribute energy, and the power ratings reach up to 300 MVA.
