Dry-type transformer for outdoor use: Is it possible?

Dry transformer for outdoor use
Because it is ecologically better than an oil-filled transformer, a dry-type transformer can be used outdoors. They are built with high technology and a high-quality process, which results in reduced maintenance costs for these devices.
It is important to know the location where the dry transformer will be installed, so we can define the type of enclosure to be supplied, taking into consideration aggressive environments, temperature, humidity, among others.
Heat exchange is an important point to evaluate, as it determines the need for installing internal case accessories (ventilation, exhaust fans, filters, etc.).
The installation of a dry-type transformer does not require features such as explosion-proof walls, fire doors, containment for insulating liquid, and others, unlike oil-filled transformers which require these types of precautions.
This makes this type of equipment more advantageous, as it does not pose environmental risks from insulating oil leakage.
